After three long years, Chen Stormstout appears to have found his hat on the Dragonflight Patch 10.0.7 PTR! Players noticed the Brewmaster's signature hat went missing all the way back in Patch 8.3 with the release of Ny'alotha, but it has finally been restored. As noted on Twitter, Chen's hat mysteriously disappeared with the release of Ny'alotha three years ago, but it appears that the wandering brewmaster has finally put himself back together! Eagle-eyed viewers on the Public Test Realm noticed that the signature hat is once again carried on the monk's back.
First introduced in Warcraft III's Founding of Durotar campaign, Chen Stormstout quickly became a fan favorite character — the first representative of the mysterious Pandaren, as well as one of the focal story characters of the Mists of Pandaria expansion. Chen also features in the Mists of Pandaria cinematic trailer.
While we haven't seen much of Chen outside of a brief stint as a Monk Order Hall Champion in Legion, the legendary Brewmaster returned to help defend the Vale of Eternal Blossoms during the Battle for Azeroth, which is around the time players began to notice his hat went missing. For a seemingly minor issue, the missing hat became a long running question for many.
