The streaming industry has been a hot topic for a long time now, with major platforms like Twitch and YouTube vying to sign the most popular personalities in the business. While Twitch might still be the king with several big-name stars, such as NICKMERCS, having decided to renew their contracts over the last year, other streamers have moved to YouTube. Among those that have been enjoying the new horizons on the Google-owned streaming platform is Dr Disrespect.
The history of Dr Disrespect in the streaming business is a long and unusual one. After starting as a professional content creator on Twitch, he was permanently banned from the platform for undisclosed reasons in 2020. Despite a period of uncertainty following this ban, Dr Disrespect managed to continue his success when he signed with YouTube several months later. Since then, he has not looked back, raking in thousands of views regardless of what games he decides to broadcast. While his fans have known that the streamer has enjoyed a massive amount of success on YouTube, only recently did they learn exactly how much his channel has grown over the last year.
Dr Disrespect is Not Returning to Twitch

According to a post from the Stream Hatchet Twitter account, it was revealed that the Doc has seen a whopping 48.7% growth in hours watched from February 2021 to February 2022 on his YouTube channel. As seen in the chart shared on social media, the streamer has managed to maintain over 2 million hours watched each month since September 2021. In addition, his peak concurrent viewership has reached over 500K on YouTube compared to 388K while still on Twitch.
