Charli XCX Will Star in A24 Movie The Moment, Based on Her Own Idea
is partnering with A24 to produce and star in The Moment, a movie based on an original idea from the superstar artist.
According to a report from Variety, the movie’s plot details are mostly under wraps. However, Charli XCX will be on board as both a star and producer, and Scottish photographer and filmmaker Aidan Zamiri will direct the project, which will also serve as his directorial debut.
Zamiri co-wrote the feature with Bertie Brandes. Variety’s report also notes that A.G. Cook, a producer who has worked extensively with Charli in the past, will compose the score for the film. No other casting information is available as of now.
For XCX, this expands her dive into the world of acting in a major way. The superstar has a ton of movie projects on the horizon, including a role in the upcoming thriller I Want Your Sex, the Faces of Death remake, Sacrifice, and more.
