CD Projekt has seemingly hinted at plans to further collaborate with animation company Studio Trigger.
The Tokyo-based company animated last year’s Cyberpunk Edgerunners, which was a Netflix streaming hit and contributed to a boost in Cyberpunk 2077 sales.
During an investor presentation on Thursday, CD Projekt’s chief commercial officer Michał Nowakowski said the company has big plans for expanding the franchise beyond the development of Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel, Project Orion.

“When the time comes, we’ll tell you. I know I keep repeating it, but yes, the general direction is this – to go this way, this is strategically important for us.”
Chief creative officer Adam Badowski then added: “What’s also important is that Trigger, our partner, has certain rules for announcing projects and we have to be compliant with this.”
If CD Projekt is working on another Cyberpunk project with Trigger, it might not be more Edgerunners content.
