World of Warcraft speed-runner, Lmgd1, reached level 85 just 3 hours after Cataclysm Classic launched on May 20th! In addition to all of the planning that went into this achievement, Lmgd1 also faced adversity in the wake of Blizzard hotfixing the experience gain from the mobs he was farming multiple times.

WoW Classic content creator, Sarthe breaks down Lmgd's level 85 speedrun in his recent video. In this video, Sarthe details the areas in which Lmgd was able to find hyperspawns in Twilight Highlands.
However, Blizzard decided to nerf these mobs so that they no longer provided experience, just after Lmgd reached level 84 on his Shaman.
After moving to another nearby area, where he could farm more mobs, a similar event occurred where Blizzard simply turned off the experience provided by the mobs Lmgd was farming. Ultimately, Lmgd would move to the zone of Deepholm, where he would eventually reach level 85 by efficiently farming mobs while gaining about 6 million experience per hour.
