Call of Duty: Vanguard came out last year to a relatively middling reception. Activision recently reported disappointing sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard and blamed the World War 2 setting for its market performance.
Vanguard also suffered from mixed critical reception and word of mouth, but Activision has since released various updates for the game. Zombies game mode, in particular, was arguably the most significant source of criticism at launch, and it received an overhaul in a previous patch. Call of Duty: Vanguard is in its third season, and Activision now details all the content coming in the mid-season update.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is Free to Play for Limited Time
A post on the officialCall of Duty website describes the new content coming to Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Vanguard in Season Three Reloaded. Also known as Classified Arms Reloaded, this update will add new features to Call of Duty: Vanguard and go live later today at 10 AM PT. The post also mentions that Season Three Reloaded will add numerous quality-of-life features, and Activision will share the complete details in the full patch notes.
Classified Arms Reloaded adds a new map called Sphere to Call of Duty: Vanguard. Sphere is a small map featuring a hidden underground weapons lab, with the top floor designed as a mock coal mine. The underground area has tunnels, a workshop, and a central lab, and the post claims that Operators that can quickly navigate between the upper and lower floors will have the upper hand in combat.
