Warning! Spoilers ahead for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 4
Following the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 4, the absence of Jedi: Fallen Order's Cal Kestisis creating a problem and becoming harder to justify as the new streaming series continues. In the new Star Wars show, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi has left Tatooine for the first time in 10 years after going into exile following the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. However, he's not the only Jedi who survived Order 66, with Obi-Wan Kenobi increasingly struggling to justify another popular Jedi's absence.
In the Jedi: Fallen Order videogame, Cal Kestis is a padawan who survived the Jedi Purge. Laying low for five years until he falls into the crosshairs of the Imperial Inquisitors, Kestis journies with new allies to find a holocron containing a list of Force-sensitive children, the potential future of a new Jedi Order. Electing to destroy the holocron to keep the children safe from the Empire, Cal chooses to keep fighting against the Empire as a Jedi Knight.

While Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to have a sequel, the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi more than warrant an appearance from Kestis in the meantime. For starters, Kenobi discovers the existence of a network known as the Path — a hidden organization dedicated to helping Jedi survivors and Force-sensitive children escape the Empire. While Jedi survivor Quinlan Vos is mentioned, this newly revealed cell of resistance seems like the perfect way to introduce Kestis given his backstory.
