Bungie shows off Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion and confirms its release date
Bungie has confirmed a release date for Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion.
The game’s next expansion will be released on February 28, 2023.
Bungie revealed the launch date during an ongoing Destiny 2 showcase on Tuesday, which is viewable above and included the premiere of a new trailer.

Lightfall will be followed by one further unannounced chapter, which Bungie has said will fully complete its first saga of Destiny.
PlayStation maker Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed in July that it had completed its $3.6 billion acquisition of Bungie.
In addition to its ongoing work on Destiny 2, Bungie has announced plans to bring at least one new IP to market before 2025.
The studio is reportedly working on a new Destiny game for mobile in partnership with Chinese tech and gaming giant NetEase, which invested $100 million to become a minority shareholder in the Bellevue, Washington-based studio in 2018.
