The August showcase for Destiny 2 revealed what Bungie has concocted for the upcoming Lightfall expansion, which adds a new location in the form of Neomuna, a hidden city on Neptune. Neomuna is inhabited by a new race called Cloud Striders that will teach how to wield the powers of Strand to Guardians in order to fight the army of Calus and The Witness.
Cloud Striders also have interesting technology that was never shown apart from Destiny 2's Exo Stranger's companion, a fish-like creature. With Lightfall, players will be able to get their hands on another piece of technology from Neomuna — the Quicksilver Storm Exotic auto rifle, which this guide explains how to get early.
Destiny 2's Version of King's Fall Should Up The Stake
In order to get the Quicksilver Storm Exotic in Destiny 2, players need to preorder the Lightfall expansion, as the item is exclusively coming with the purchase and cannot be unlocked otherwise.
There are three different Lightfall editions that players can purchase, with only two of them coming with the Quicksilver Storm auto rifle in early access. The Destiny 2 Lightfall Standard Edition only includes the base expansion and some additional cosmetic items, and as such, the new Exotic weapon can be obtained exclusively by purchasing the Lightfall + Annual Pass edition or the Collector's Edition.
It's important to make a distinction with the Collector's Edition, however, as it can be purchased with no game code. In that case, Destiny 2 players won't be obtaining the Lightfall expansion and the Quicksilver Storm auto rifle.
After purchasing the appropriate Lightfall edition for Destiny 2, players will be able to immediately redeem the Quicksilver Storm Exotic in the game.
