The Webtoon made in collaboration with the K-pop group BTS called 7Fates: Chako hit a record number of views on the digital platform. This fantasy webcomic is one of the Webtoons Originals series, meaning the company has partnering up with creators to produce exclusive original content.
Managed by the label HYBE, BTS (also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan) is the biggest K-pop group in the world consisting of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The band's influence has spread to other mediums outside of music before, including an interactive storytelling game called BTS Universe (BU). They're not unfamiliar with webcomics either, having previously released drama Webtoon Save Me that ran for 15 episodes from January 17, 2019, to April 11, 2019, which currently has over 55 million views.

Covered by Bleeding Cool, 7Fates: Chako hit 15 million views after only being released for two days worldwide, breaking several records on Webtoon. It is the highest viewed Webtoon launch of all time, which is especially impressive considering how big comic book companies such as Archie Comics and DC Comics have been entering the Webtoon space with Big Ethel Energy and Wayne Family Adventures respectively. A fantasy series, 7Fates: Chako is set in a corrupt city known as Sin-si that's being destroyed by creatures known as beom. Now, seven boys find that destiny is bringing them together in an attempt to stop all of the fighting. The characters within the series represent the various members of BTS, which the community is quickly putting together in the comments.
