Prior to her Jurassic World days, Bryce Dallas Howard appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 as Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy. Now, Howard has said that Stacy is a role she'd be willing to reprise in a new Spider-Man film.
Spider-Man 3 introduced Gwen Stacy to Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker, but it would ultimately be her only appearance since Sony opted to reboot the franchise afterward. Still, Howard noted that the current multiverse craze taking over superhero films provides the perfect opportunity for her to return as Gwen Stacy.
Casting Gwen Stacy For Future Spider-Man Movies
Howard told People that she would be open to playing Gwen Stacy again. «That would be so fun,» she said. «Since we are exploring multiverses — and by we are exploring it, they are exploring it, and I'm enjoying it. I would always be game.» Howard also gave a heartfelt nod to Emma Stone, who portrayed Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise that starred actor Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. Dallas gushed to People, “Emma Stone, in my perspective as a fan, is the definitive Gwen Stacy in that universe.”
