Initially released as a launch title for the PlayStation 5,Spider-Man: Miles Morales takes place following the events of the Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC from the first Spider-Man game in the Insomniac-developed series. True to the title, the game's story is told from the perspective of Miles Morales, whose unique powers and personality set him apart from his web-slinging mentor and ally, Peter Parker.

Developed by Insomniac Games and Nixxes Software, the PC port ofSpider-Man: Miles Morales will release on November 18 on both Steam and Epic Games Store. The port will also bring new, exclusive features for players to take advantage of. The game will feature PC-optimized graphics, with quality options for players to adjust, and will have unlocked framerates. The PS5 version of the game, by comparison, has a fixed framerate of 60 frames per second (FPS), which was refined further by a post-launch update. The game will also feature ray-tracing for reflections and shadows, and support ultra wide resolutions such as 21:9 and 32:9, on systems and graphics cards that can handle these functions.
