Brutal Dead Space Bug Removes Isaac’s Armor and Weapons
Dead Space, one of the most applauded horror games of all time, gave one player an unexpected challenge with a strange glitch. While playing the praised Dead Space remake, the player stumbled into a difficult situation thanks to the game taking away some important items.
Since being released in 2008, Dead Space has birthed a long-lasting and effective horror franchise that greeted fans with a remake of the original installment earlier this year in January. Despite the various horror titles that have been released throughout the history of gaming, Dead Space is hailed as one of the scariest games of all time. Known for its difficult survival gameplay, an unexpected glitch could really hinder a player's run and make the experience even more challenging than it already is. Unfortunately, one player found themselves falling victim to an incredibly inconvenient glitch.

A Reddit user known as IkeaSpartan shared a clip of the glitch to the Dead Space subreddit. After loading up an old save file, the glitch caused the game's protagonist Isaac to lose his armor and all weapons, leaving him completely vulnerable in a game where that's an instant death sentence. Although Dead Space has fixed bugs in the past, this specific glitch seems to be a new addition to the list; and not a welcome one.
IkeaSpartan joked about the glitch by stating they accidentally discovered a new difficulty mode in the game. With Dead Space being known for its difficulty, the joke does indeed hold a lot of truth.
