Bridgerton season 2 saw Queen Charlotte suggest her nephew Prince Friedrich to Edwina Sharma, but do they end up together in Julia Quinn’s books? Edwina, along with older sister Kate and mother Lady Mary, returned to England from India to find Edwina a husband to marry. However, things didn’t exactly work out the way she had hoped initially. But it’s possible Bridgerton season 3 could change Edwina’s fate for the better.
Edwina craved a love match above all else in season 2, although she got a bit sidetracked once Anthony Bridgerton began courting her. Edwina’s story ended with her realizing the truth of Kate and Anthony’s feelings for each other. While she was upset the truth was kept from her for a bit, Edwina grew a lot from the experience. And now that Kate and Anthony are happily married, Edwina no longer has to worry about marrying a rich nobleman to secure her family’s financial future. Considering Edwina formed an intriguing and genuine bond with Queen Charlotte, the monarch’s attempts to set up Edwina and Prince Friedrich make a lot of sense. Edwina is caring, thoughtful, loyal, and smart. She and Friedrich, who did not appear in Bridgerton season 2, have similar dispositions and would make a sweet match should they meet in the future.
