It's relatively rare for developers of Call of Duty: Warzone to give the community a heads-up regarding upcoming changes. That's likely in part due to the Call of Duty: Warzone community having a significant amount of feedback — it can't all be addressed. Or it could simply be the developers not wanting Call of Duty: Warzone players to get the wrong idea when it comes to future plans. Regarding Radar Jammers and Rebirth Island, however, Call of Duty: Warzone players should know that changes are coming.
A Call of Duty: Warzone player named TheGhostOfHope made a post on Twitter asking both Raven Software and Beenox to «tone down» Radar Jammers on Rebirth Island. To their surprise, the Beenox team decided to respond. Beenox confirmed that it's aware of player frustrations regarding the Radar Jammer on Rebirth Island. Further, it says that it has a «fix to improve the player experience» currently in development and that further details will be shared soon.
Call of Duty: Warzone Nerfs Its Most Controversial Operator
For those unfamiliar with the Radar Jammer issue, it's a relatively simple criticism. Using the Radar Jammer item will scramble the minimap of nearby players and covers a broad area. The issue is that the Radar Jammer seems to have been balanced for Caldera, or at least a large map. When used on Rebirth Island, the Radar Jammer can prove frustrating for players to deal with as they cover enough of the map to provide difficulty.
Call of Duty: Warzone players have been asking the developers to either remove the Radar Jammer from Rebirth Island entirely or to rebalance it to work for a smaller locale. If Beenox says a «fix» is being worked on, balance changes seem to be the chosen path forward. While the changes being
