It’s only natural that many of the characters in Naruto's sequel series Boruto were introduced as new and unknown, but almost seventy chapters in, it's only Amado whose story remains unclear. However, with the return to Eida, Amado’s background and purpose come into better focus.
In a world where chakra, ninjutsu, and dojutsu are paramount, not only determining who is the most capable ninja but also who should lead them, Amado is an anomaly. Despite demonstrating no particular capabilities that make a great ninja, he has still been able to hold senior level, “most trusted” positions in both Isshiki Otsutsuki’s secret Kara organization and Naruto’s Konoha Village administrative unit. What Amado does have are intelligence and expertise. Indeed, if smartness was a ninja skill, Amado would be the Hokage, and nobody can compare with his technological expertise. With his cyborgs and Kama-copying techniques, he has single-handedly brought ninja tech up to God-like levels.

In Borutu #69, Amado’s motives finally become clearer. In the issue, after infiltrating Konoha Village and being confronted by Shikamaru Nara, Amado, and a reconfigured Delta, Code calls on Eida for assistance. Up until this point in the manga, Amado has been one of the most emotionally stable characters of all. Barely breaking a sweat when, for instance, he realized that his boss Jigen had figured out that he was working with Koji Kashin, who he bio-engineered, to kill him. But once he comes face-to-face with Eida after she arrives via Code’s portal ability, Amado's previously confident demeanor descends into abject shock. Who could create such a reaction
