A God of War PC mod has swapped out Kratos and Atreus with character models for another iconic father and son due — Homer and Bart Simpson. Santa Monica Studio's soft reboot for God of War originally hit store shelves in April 2018, inviting PS4 players around the globe to revisit Kratos at a different juncture in his life. Having abandoned the Greek world after the events of 2010's God of War 3, the 2018 title finds the God of War navigating the Norse world in Scandinavia with a young son, Atreus, in tow.
The latest God of War adventure didn't take its last bow on PlayStation platforms. To the surprise of many, Sony Interactive Entertainment elected to port the award-winning experience to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store earlier this year. Naturally, the PC modding community has enjoyed quite the field day with this particular PlayStation release, building mods that both enhance the experience and add an air of levity. Atreus became playable in one GoW mod, for instance. Another fan-made build reimagined Kratos as CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Needless to say, the fun won't come to an end anytime soon.

YouTuber ToastedShoes shared gameplay footage of the Simpsons mod in action, which reveals that this particular build also includes new lines for Homer and Bart. For example, the introductory sequence features Homer explaining his tree-lifting strength by telling Bart to "eat [his] broccoli."
