Kelsey Grammer isn’t the only Frasier cast member to appear in The Simpsons – with some of his co-stars voicing guest roles that effectively parody their Frasier characters. Grammer is most famous for his 20-year-long portrayal of Dr. Frasier Crane, but he has also voiced the murderous Sideshow Bob since The Simpsons’ first season. And throughout its unprecedented 32-year run, the show has reunited him with his Frasier family on several occasions.
Frasier is the hugely successful spinoff of Cheers that follows the titular psychiatrist as he hosts a radio show. Swapping Boston for Seattle, Frasier Crane reconnects with his family and reinvents himself as a lovably pompous celebrity. Grammer spoofs his image wonderfully as Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons - debuting in “Krusty Gets Busted,” which sees the cultured intellectual frame Krusty for armed robbery.

Foiled by Bart Simpson, Sideshow Bob has since returned several times, hellbent on revenge. The Simpsons have made numerous references to Frasier and its star over the years, such as Homer visiting the Cheers bar with dire consequences. Fortunately, Grammer is reunited with his fictional family on two more occasions, both times parodying their Frasier dynamic.
