The Froglight is a decorative block in Minecraft that can naturally illuminate its surroundings with a light level of 15, which is the highest level possible for a light-emitting block. This decorative block comes in three color variants: Pearlescent, Ochre, and Verdant. The Pearlescent Froglight has a purplish-pink tint, while a combination of yellow and orange characterizes Ochre. Finally, the Verdant Froglight features a mossy green color in Minecraft.
As their name suggests, Froglights are acquired from Minecraft Frogs, passive mobs that spawn within swamps but can be bred in a variety of biomes. The luminous blocks materialize as a «byproduct» of a Frog eating the smallest form of a Magma Cube, and the color of the Froglight will depend on what type of Frog has produced it. The world of Minecraft features three variants of Frogs that can be distinguished by their color. Temperate Frogs appear in an orange-brown hue, Cold Frogs have the amphibian's iconic green color, and Warm Frogs are a light shade of Gray.

Conversely, Cold Frogs will spawn when Frogs are bred in areas in Minecraft with frigid climates like Snowy Taigas, Frozen Peaks, Snowy Plains, and Frozen Oceans. These Frogs can produce Verdant Froglights. Finally, Warm Frogs can make Pearlescent Froglights and can be bred in warm biomes, including Jungle, Badlands, Deserts, and Savannahs. To breed Frogs, players must feed two of them with Slime Balls.
