Warning: This article contains spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
A new piece of Obi-Wan Kenobi fan art depicts its titular character and a young Leia Organa in the style of the classic comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. Disney+ recently dropped “Part I” and “Part II” of the long-awaited Star Wars project Obi-Wan Kenobi, which reintroduces fans to Ewan McGregor’s “Ben” Kenobi during his time in exile on Tatooine. Picking up ten years after the events of Revenge of the Sith (2005), the series sees the Grand Inquisitor (Rupert Friend), the Third Sister Reva (Moses Ingram), and a team of Inquisitors searching for Obi-Wan and other Jedi who survived Order 66.
Before Obi-Wan Kenobi’s premiere, it had already been confirmed that the series would include legacy characters in Joel Edgerton’s Uncle Owen, Bonnie Piesse’s Aunt Beru, Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, and even Grant Feely as a young Luke Skywalker. What was perhaps unexpected is the surprise breakout star Vivien Lyra Blair as a wisecracking young princess Leia Organa driving the plot. In episode 2, Obi-Wan is visited by Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) after his daughter is captured—which is all part of a play by the Third Sister to draw Obi-Wan out of hiding. Obi-Wan then tracks the kidnappers to Daiyu, where is retrieves the biological daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. However, this is not to say Leia makes it easy for him to do so.
