Princess Leia Is Finally Facing Her Imperial Nemesis

A new preview for Marvel Comics' Star Wars is teasing Princess Leia's final reckoning with the Empire's Commander Zahra (her new nemesis). Following the events of The Empire Strikes Back, Zahra has been relentlessly pursuing the Rebellion for the glory of the Empire. However, she's made it her personal vendetta to hunt down Leia specifically. After a handful of encounters in previous issues, it now looks as though Leia and Zahra will be entering their last showdown.
The protégé of Grand Moff Tarkin, it was mere chance that Zahra was ordered to leave the Death Star just before the battle station was destroyed in A New Hope. Given the Imperial Navy by the Emperor and Darth Vader in the aftermath, Zahra took command of the newly named Tarkin's Will, a Star Destroyer that still bore the scars from its proximity to the Death Star's demise. Seeking revenge for Tarkin's death and focusing her rage on Leia, Zahra was instrumental in hunting down the Rebel divisions after they were scattered following the Battle of Hoth. While Zahra's face-to-face battle saw Princess Leia temporarily losing her hope, she eventually regained her faith in the fight with the reformation of the Rebellion's fleet where the Rebels also destroyed the Tarkin's Will. However, Zahra survived.
