Sony’s first-party lineup was lacking in the console’s first year, as many titles were launching to mixed reviews. Bloodborne broke this trend in 2015, and many fans still consider it to be From Software’s best games.
Nostalgia-driven demakes have gained popularity in recent years, and a fan similarly released a PSX-style version of Bloodborne, which launched earlier this year for PC via itch.io. The Bloodborne demake comes with support for gamepads, and it reportedly took around 13 months of development. The same developer is now teasing a new spin-off based on Bloodborne in an entirely different genre.
Bloodborne's Return to Yharnam 2022 Event Has Begun
Lilith Walther, the creator of the Bloodborne demake, uploaded a new video on her YouTube channel teasing Bloodborne Kart. The video opens with the default playable character from the game walking towards what seems like a castle. It then reveals a motorbike, and the words Bloodborne Kart appear on top of a checkered flag. The video mentions that the game will release whenever it’s ready and then shows a clip of the Bloodborne hunter revving the motorcycle.
The hilarious video feels like a love letter to fans, with a special mention to how the overly energetic narrator shouts the game’s name and how the FromSoftware logo is replaced by Fan Software. Lilith Walther had also released a gameplay trailer from a supposed Bloodborne kart racing game as an April fool’s joke last year.
