Hearthstone has hundreds upon hundreds of cards. Sometimes, rather than make a card with a new mechanic or a unique statline, Blizzard adds in some cosmetic upgrades to already existing cards to make them stand out from the crowd. These cosmetic or Diamond cards give Hearthstone players a unique card border and animation for already existing legendary cards. However, Blizzard is not leaving those who have bought a Diamond Drek'Thar feeling as though they've been robbed.
The publisher is giving owners of the Drek'Thar Diamond card 3,000 gold when they next log in to Hearthstone. This is the full in-game cost of Drek'Thar, essentially giving a full refund for those who bought
