Partway through Breath Of The Wild, Link works with Riju, the Chief of the Gerudo people. They get on well enough, but when Link wants to use her Thunder Helm, he first must help the people living in Gerudo Town. He does this by completing a set of quests. One of them is called The Search For Barta.

The title gives away the basic premise of the quest, as it's clear that your goal is to find someone named Barta. However, knowing your objective doesn't mean you know how to complete it, especially in this one, as Barta isn't easy to locate. Here's how to find her and do everything else in the quest.
To begin the quest, you must head to Gerudo Town in the southwest corner of the map. Once there, find Liana on the west side of the area. She will be questioning what happened to Barta. Talk to her to trigger a conversation between Liana and her soldiers, where they discuss Barta's absence and question where she went. After the conversation is over, you will have acquired the quest.
Before going out to find Barta, you should purchase a Hearty Durian because you will need one later. So, go to the merchant area in Gerudo Town and find Lorn's fruit stand. She will be selling the spiky fruit.
To find the missing person, you must head to the giant skeleton next to the Hawa Koth Shrine. This landmark is situated in the desert, directly southwest of Gerudo Town. The weather can be pretty problematic in this part of the land, so make sure you're dressed for the occasion before embarking.
