Your drinking Gourd in is one of your trustiest pieces of equipment; the Awaken Wine Worm will allow your Drinks to be more effective, providing even more support right when you need it most. You can upgrade and enhance your Gourd in numerous ways, but none are permanent, like the Awaken Wine Worms. Improving your Gourd will help you out in every fight you face in the game, and with how many tough fights throws at you, you'll be glad you upgraded it.
Each Awaken Wine Worm is hidden inside a large, covered pot that exudes a golden, shimmering glow. They're scattered across the game; to collect them, you'll need to break the pots containing them and pick them up. If you're not interested in playing a scavenger hunt, you can also purchase a few from the Shen Monkey in the Marsh of the White Mist at the beginning of chapters three, four, and five.
After beating the Black Wind King, you'll be in the temple he was guarding. Head to the left side of the temple to the groups of four pots, and break the golden one to find your first Wine Worm. This is the only Worm in Chapter One, but keep an eye out for the 11 bosses that inhabit this level.
The most challenging encounters in Black Myth: Wukong can cause a problem for anyone, and a few are uniquely punishing in memorable ways.
This Chapter is home to the hidden boss, Red Loong dragon, and many other challenging foes. Between the two forms that the Black Wind Boss takes and the other mainline bosses, this chapter will see you facing tough fights in all directions. If you're struggling with these bosses and one Awaken Wine Worm isn't enough, maybe consider trying out a different staff stance or soak for your Gourd.
To find the Worm in chapter two, start from the Valley of Despair Keeper's Shrine. Head towards the cave from here, and follow the straight path until you fall down to the lower level. Once you've fallen, head to the right to find the Wine Worm jar at the end of the path. Break it to collect the Worm.
