The latest Black Desert Online update features adjustments to War of the Roses and the Guild League, tweaks to progression, help for PKed players, and some Valentine’s events that continue through the month.
Pearl Abyss continues to make things more doable for different types of players with a new change. If you are out in the world and someone attacks you and a monster gets aggroed and finishes the job, there won’t be a death penalty anymore, and the PKer will get a slight ding to Karma.
For PvPers, there are adjustments to War of the Roses and the new Guild League. If you are participating in War of the Roses in Third Legion then you'll now have to have a gear score of at least 700, up from 680. There have also been some reductions in passives when you conquer sanctums, and adjustments to durability of the relics that spawn in neutral sanctums. Adjustments come for weapons and mounts, increases to Guardian HP, and more tweaks for balancing the mode.
When it comes to 15v15 Guild League, the matchmaking system got some refinements intended to make it more likely for top guilds to get matched against other top guilds and reduce wildly off-balance matches. In addition, it should help the top guilds get to the top and stay there when using their skills against fair opponents and not much-lower ranked players.
The newest monster zone, Yzrahid Highlands, also got some tuning to make sure that in an area designed for high DP zone, the challenge feels appropriate. Changes to Seculion and some other monsters are intended to make their mechanics clearer, with some damage dealt has been reduced.
Finally, for those who are still in the Valentine’s Day spirit, two events continue. One is a screenshot contest, with some prizes, and the other is the return of the Valentine’s Day Adventure Log. Complete all of the logs to help the residents express their love and claim rewards for filling the nine chapters.
