Better Call Saul season 6, part 1, left viewers with the show's biggest cliffhanger yet, and the shocking Lalo's arrival at Jimmy and Kim's apartment is even worse for McGill than it seems. After spending most of the season away from the United States, Lalo Salamanca returned to Albuquerque to seek revenge against those who plotted his death and to bring an end to Gus Fring's expansion plan. The Salamanca cousin finally found out about the construction of Gus' super lab after tracking down Werner Ziegler, but instead of going after Fring, Lalo went to talk to his lawyers, Jimmy and Kim, in a decision that set the stage for a dark Better Call Saul ending.
Lalo had been considered dead since the end of Better Call Saul season 5, when a group of sicarios, mercenary assassins, tried to ambush him in his own house. Not only did Lalo survive, but he also made it seem like the assassins had succeeded. However, Gus never really bought the story, and it took only one conversation with Hector for the Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul villain to realize that Lalo was still alive. Although Mike was not as certain as Gus that Lalo was alive, he still made sure to let Kim know about that possibility.

Kim knew that Lalo could still be alive for most of Better Call Saul season 6, but she decided not to share it with Jimmy. That explains why Kim is not as shocked as Jimmy, who seemed like he had seen a ghost after Lalo entered the room.
