Showrunner Peter Gould previews where the Better Call Saul season 6, part 2, premiere will pick up following the jaw-dropping cliffhanger. After various delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lead star Bob Odenkirk’s harrowing on-set heart attack, Better Call Saul returned to AMC on April 18 for its sixth and final season. For the first time in the show's history, a season was split into two parts, with the first concluding on May 23.
The first half of Better Call Saul season 6 followed two disparate storylines – Gus Fring cleans up after his botched assassination attempt against Lalo Salamanca and patiently awaits his return to Albuquerque while Jimmy McGill and Kim Wexler execute their devious plan to sabotage Howard Hamlin's career. During the midseason 6 finale, these two storylines converge in dramatic fashion as Lalo suddenly appears in Jimmy and Kim's apartment and shockingly executes Howard right in front of the two lawyers. After that jaw-dropping moment, audiences were burdened with a six-week wait before finding out what happens next.
