A recently shared cute video shows children singing Encanto's «We Don't Talk About Bruno» on the New York City subway. Set in the middle of a jungle in the mountains of Colombia, the animated musical focuses on Mirabel Madrigal (Stephanie Beatriz), a member of a magical family that resides in an enchanted, sentient house. On their fifth birthday, every child from the Madrigal family receives a gift from the house, a set of magical powers to assist the people of the village. However, Mirabel becomes the only Madrigal child to not be imbued with powers, leading to a path that nearly destroys the family forever.
Released in 2021, Encanto did not fare well in the pandemic-restricted box office but became a massive hit when it was later released on Disney+. However, the film's soundtrack, penned by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, proved just as popular with audiences. The album's hit song, «We Don't Talk About Bruno,» ended up topping the Billboard's Hot 100 chart and Billboard's Global 200 chart and going twice platinum.
