Tumi Mhlongo is the second stew in Below Deck Down Under season 1, and fans are curious to know more about her. Below Deck Down Under is becoming a fan-favorite Below Deck franchise after premiering in March on Peacock. The handsome Captain Jason Chambers is the youngest Below Deck leader at the helm and has already earned himself the nickname “Captain Cutie.” Aesha Scott, who starred in Below Deck Mediterranean, earned her stripes as Chief Stew in Below Deck Down Under season 1.
Tumi came on board with enough experience to earn her the second stew title. Working alongside her was the yacht's third stew, Magda Ziomek. The Polish native was pretty green to yachting, and Tumi had to guide her through a lot of tasks. Unfortunately, Magda was often distracted by her boyfriend back in Poland, and Tumi had to pick up a lot of her slack. Aesha often complained that if she had two Tumi's, her workload would be so much easier. Eventually, Aesha and Captain Jason decided to let Magda go with a replacement on the way who hopefully will be more help for Tumi.

Before working in the yachting industry, Tumi was working at a photographic agency and would often hear stories from her co-worker about her cousin who was a stew. The South African native was impressed by the lifestyle and money that yachting had to offer and left her job at the agency. Tumi has a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Visual Communications and impressed Below Deck Down Under viewers with her artistic flair (via TV Deets).
