Bank Holidays July 2022: Banks will remain closed for 8 days in the month of July 2022. However, it can be noted that online or internet banking will remain operative 24x7. Also, along with second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, the bank holidays in the month of July will increase to 15 days. It can be noted that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) informs about the bank holidays on its official website. The banks remain closed every month on certain days due to some state-specific or national occasions. As per the information provided by the RBI, the bank holidays in June fall under three categories- Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts. 1. July 1, 2022: Banks will remain closed only in Bhubaneswar and Imphal due to the occasion of Kang (Rathajatra)/Ratha Yatra.
2. July 7, 2022: Banking operations will remain shut only in Agartala due to Kharchi Puja.
3. July 9, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on July 9 due to the occasion of ld-Ul-Ad'ha (Bakrid).
4. July 11, 2022: Due to the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, banking operations will remain shut on July 11 in Jammu and Srinagar.
