If you play as a paladin in Baldur's Gate 3, you'll have three subclasses to choose from. These determine the spells and abilities open to you as you level up, but most importantly, they dictate the code you'll have to adhere to so you can keep your powers.
Now, Baldur's Gate 3 players have added three more paladin subclasses to the game. Two are taken straight from Dungeons & Dragons, perfect for anyone who missed out on their preferred oath in the base game. However, another is a custom class, inspired by fellow fantasy RPG, Pillars of Eternity.

This is far from the only series of mods that expands the base game. As we covered last year, another modder added more than 50 new races to the game, letting you play as everything from a goblin to an aasimar.
A Baldur's Gate 3 developer previously said that the team hadn't ruled out adding new races down the line in an official update, but since Larian is moving away from the series soon, that's probably not happening now. As revealed last
