One of the keys to building up your character in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is finding the best-quality crafting materials. The best gear and weapons in the game are crafted, and while you’ll find various crafting recipes with different bonuses and potentials, the actual strength of that gear is determined by the quality of the crafting materials you use to make them. Even early-game crafting recipes can be used to make powerful gear if you have the best ingredients. You’re going to want to track down “Superior” and “Exquisite” crafting materials, and collect them in the right way, if you want make the best stuff. Crafting materials come in three grades – Fine, Superior, and Exquisite. You can find out what rarity a material is by scanning it with your Na’vi senses before you pick it. Fine materials will have a green outline, Superior will be purple, and Exquisite will be gold. In the case of materials acquired from animals, you’re going to want to find “Adult” and “Mature” creatures to hunt – these will give you Superior and Exquisite materials, respectively.
