The first arcade cabinets in Arcade1Up's Deluxe Edition line are now available at Best Buy, both online and in stores. arcade machines. Arcade1Up describes the trio of cabinets as its new flagship design that offers an «authentic» at-home arcade experience and are built from premium materials.
The design of these arcade cabinets features a new streamlined style and a sleeker single-cabinet construction. Features include: «real-feel» joysticks and buttons, lit marquee, faux coin door, and 17-inch 1080p LCD displays, which are in laid-back positions in select Deluxe edition models. The single-piece construction (no riser needed) comes in at roughly five-feet tall. Beyond the retro aesthetics, you can also expect a few modern touches such as built-in Wi-Fi and leaderboard support.
Unsurprisingly, the first batch of Deluxe cabinets revisit some of the most iconic arcade games of all time, including Pac-Man, Galaga, and Mortal Kombat II. Each cabinet comes preloaded with a collection of games and retails for $500. You can check out the full details on each of the three cabinets below.
The Pac-Man version is loaded with 14 games starring the yellow chomping hero and even comes with integrated dual speakers that reproduce the Bandai Namco icon's trademark «waka waka» sounds. This version also comes in an eye-catching yellow design that evokes the original cabinet's design, and it includes the following games.
For Class of '81, you'll be able to experience 12 games from a collection of classics. This arcade cabinet comes with a 17-inch color panel, Pac-Man and Galaga decals, a light-up marquee, and even a moulded coin door to replicate the arcade units of yesteryear.
