Apple tends to launch new iPhones every fall, and this year is no exception. The company just sent out invites for an upcoming event, dubbed Wonderlust, which will take place on Sept. 12.
Although it didn't technically confirm this as an iPhone 15 event, it matches the timing of previous iPhone launches. And given that it's been about a year since the iPhone 14 announcement, we have every reason to believe we'll see the iPhone 15 at Wonderlust. But unlike last year, we might see a significant overhaul across the spectrum this time.
If the rumors hold true, the Dynamic Island might come to every iPhone model instead of just the Pro models with the iPhone 14 lineup. With the Dynamic Island on more models, developers may be more apt to embrace and take advantage of the newer feature, which has gone somewhat ignored until now.
But that might not be the biggest change. The iPhone 15 may finally switch to USB-C (albeit somewhat unwillingly). With the new port may come faster wired charging. And if you never have enough space on your device, a rumored new 2TB model could satisfy even the heartiest photo-taking data hoarders. But it's not all happy rumors, as Apple might raise the price of the iPhone for the first time in a while.
Apple's September event usually includes the launch of a next-gen Apple Watch, too. Rumors there also tip an Apple Watch Ultra with 3D-printed parts.
We'll know for sure on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. PT. PCMag will be there to bring you all the details, but you can follow along via Apple's livestream.
