2K and Gearbox Software have announced two new Borderlands releases.
Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam on September 1, 2023, while Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch will follow on October 6.
The former includes all six Borderlands games (Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, and New Tales from the Borderlands), plus all their DLC in one bundle for the first time.
The digital-only collection has a suggested retail price of $149.99, but 2K says it will be available for a discounted price of $59.99 for a limited time.
Xbox players who already own a digital copy of any of the titles included in the collection will be able to complete the set for $30 via the Microsoft Store.
PlayStation players who own a digital or physical copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for PS4, or a digital or physical copy of Borderlands 3 for PS5 or PS4, will also be able to complete the collection via a $30 upgrade available in-game.
PC players who have previously bought a digital copy of any game in the collection will only pay for the content they don’t already own, with an updated price reflected on the Steam page for Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box.
Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition for Switch costs $59.99 and is available to pre-order now. It contains the base game, which was released for PC and other consoles in 2019, plus all of the game’s DLC and bonus cosmetic packs.
Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box leaked last month when it was classified by South Africa’s Film and Publication Board, although its contents were only confirmed today.
