There have been a lot of rumors concerning the features and specifications of the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 lineup. We have been hearing that the upcoming iPhone 14 series may get a bigger camera with a larger sensor. This is expected especially on the iPhone 14 Pro models. However, a Weibo user by the name of Fishing 8 is reported by pocketnow as suggesting that the new iPhone 14 lineup will feature a 48MP wide camera that may be smaller than the one found on the iPhone 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max, but it will be able to do the same job, if not more.
It has been reported that the upcoming Apple iPhone series will continue to retain the sensors from Sony, similar to the ones on the current iPhone models. It is also speculated that the new iPhone models will also have the same Dual Pixel AutoFocus (DPAF) system that’s marketed as “Focus Pixels,” despite the smaller sensor. In a major boost, it will let users record 16:9 HDR video at up to 60fps like the existing iPhone 13.
Apart from the camera sensor, the iPhone 14 is likely to have 120Hz ProMotion technology displays. The Korea-based The Elec has reported that LG is in the process of converting its display manufacturing line to LTPO TFT OLED and can join Samsung in manufacturing displays for the new all-OLED iPhone lineup in 2022. This means the non-Pro models too would get the 120Hz displays like iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Additionally, the upcoming iPhone 14 models are likely to be powered by the Apple A16 SoC while the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be powered by the A16 Pro processor.
Apple typically unveils its new iPhone series every year in September. This year too it is likely to maintain the same and display its iPhone 14 series in September 2022. Well!
