As Call of Duty fans know, the mood surrounding Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone has been quite negative. Not only are there reports that Call of Duty 2023 will be delayed a year, but Activision even issued a statement in January stating that it heard player frustrations with Vanguard and Warzone. Needless to say, there are a lot of expectations built for Call of Duty 2022. It may then come as a surprise that the next Call of Duty game could be revealed much sooner than expected.
A prominent Call of Duty leaker, RalphsValve, shared some information about the nextCall of Duty on Twitter recently. To start, RalphsValve tweeted a countdown that seemingly pointed to a Call of Duty event. The countdown was accompanied by the date April 30.
Call of Duty Issues Statement to Community About Its Plans to Fix Vanguard and Warzone
RalphsValve would later follow up to the initial post because some people were confused over what it meant. Many leapt to the conclusion that the new Call of Duty game would be fully revealed on April 30 due to RalphsValve's countdown. That's not the case, however. In a second tweet, RalphsValve said that the «Reveal» is actually set for Mary, though they don't provide a specific date for the full reveal. While they don't clarify what the countdown is for specifically, it's likely for a teaser or traditional Call of Duty announcement of an announcement.
Obviously, since theCall of Duty 2022 reveal news is coming from a single source that hasn't been corroborated, it should be considered a rumor until proven otherwise.
