Apple AirPods Pro 2 has been in the rumour belt for a long while now and it sis aid that we could see it finally later this year. And obviously, we were expecting leaks surrounding the new generation of the AirPods Pro. And sure enough, it did arrive. A new leak talks in details about the AirPods Pro 2 and there are lots of goodies to care about. The AirPods Pro Gen 2 will be a mega upgrade over the putting model, if this leak is to be taken seriously.
Based on a report from 52audio, the AirPods Pro Gen 2 will get a System-in-Package for the H1 chip to support adaptive active noise cancellation. The new SiP should help with improved performance and more efficient power consumption. The design of the AirPods Pro earbuds is largely similar to the current model but look closely at the case and you will find some changes.
One of the biggest changes with the AirPods Pro Gen 2 is the presence of the USB-C port. Yes, a USB-C port, not the Lightning port anymore. The port will enable fast charging on the AirPods Pro, suggests the leak. The case also happens to have some visible sensors, speaker and mic grille.
It is said that the speaker and mic will help with the Hearing Aid function, which will transmit the voice from the case to the earbuds for sound enhancement. The speaker on the case will also help with the Find My Function feature, which plays sounds to help locate the earbuds easily.
The new AirPods Pro may also be able to monitor temperature using the heart rate sensor, but it is unknown whether there will be any dedicated sensor for it.
