Apex Legends Meets Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in a Legendary Crossover
A teaser trailer for the Apex Legends and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth crossover has been released, showcasing new skins, weapons, cosmetics and more.
The event titled Final Fantasy VII takeover is set to begin on January 9, 2024, bringing enticing new combat and 36 new items added into the game all based around Final Fantasy VII. Wraith, Crypto and Horizon will be getting new skins that give off all the glamour fans of the Final Fantasy franchise have come to love.
On top of the new items, there is a new currency coming to Apex Legends for the limited time event that will be quite familiar to those who play Final Fantasy. Players will earn Gil in order to purchase items from the in-game shop as well as additional Battle Pass Stars. Challenges to earn Gil will refresh daily to keep the rewards coming throughout the event.
For those who finish the challenges and event in its entirety, they will receive a brand new cosmetic item in Apex Legends, the One-Winged Angel Death Box, that can be equipped by any Legend in the new Lobby Melee tab. The iconic Buster sword will of course be making an appearance, only granted by chance through opening event packs. Since this item will be taken out of the game once the event has concluded, everyone should attempt to snag it while they can.
