An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has created a neat concept for Bat Villagers. Nintendo has expanded on the number of animal species featured in Animal Crossing: New Horizons compared to earlier titles, and this idea could be perfect for the next installment.
The first Animal Crossing game was released for the Nintendo GameCube, and it featured 10 species of animals represented by the Villagers. Beyond this, the pelicans have historically worked at the Post Office, Tom Nook and his family are tanukis, and other special NPCs represent different animals from the Villagers. This may help some Animal Crossing players distinguish which characters are seasonal or sell things versus the Villagers that provide regular interactions. One gamer has created a concept for Bat characters that could add to the increasing count of potential Villagers.
Reddit user Able_Health744 recently shared an image of artist Bromojumbo's concept for Animal Crossing Bat Villagers. The piece features eight Bats, each with its own personality based on the existing Animal Crossing: New Horizons characteristics. The Bat design is emphasized by ears that are the size of their head, and wings that are spread out. While their personalities are somewhat encapsulated by their style, some are labeled with a personality that may be unexpected. Because some of the current animals feature more than one personality type, this Bat concept could be expanded to include at least one more.
Many things suggest the opportunity for a Bat Villager being added in the future is possible, notably the addition of more Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Though some characters have been available as Villagers since the beginning like Anicotti, Bob, and Goldie, there are fresh faces like Cephalobot, Raymond, and Shino.
