Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows Animal Crossing fans to again customize a location to their liking. In the case of New Horizons, the game gives players the opportunity to create an island paradise of their dreams, with creative players being rewarded for their ability to think outside the box and make some unique islands. While players can create a sprawling metropolis or more normative tropical island, many Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans take inspiration from their favorite movies, games and shows when creating their island.
From one player who continues to base their island on The Witcher 3, fit with a woodland area, coastal bandit camp and Honeyfill Meadworks, to another player who created a version of the ruined Hyrule Castle from Breath of the Wild, it's clear that Animal Crossing players have no shortage of inspiration from other media. Rather than creating something a large building or terraforming an area to look like a game though, one Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan has decided to take things to a smaller scale, creating their tribute on the bulletin board found in the town square.
