Releasing around the onset of the pandemic, Animal Crossing: New Horizons became a way for many gamers to escape the challenging issues going on in the real world. Offering an idyllic world full of charming villagers and beautiful houses, it was little wonder why it quickly became one of the best-selling games on the Switch. Among the reasons for its success was its many furniture options available for players to decorate their homes. Recently, one fan decided to make one of these pieces of decor in real life.
In a post on Reddit, a user known as doucepaillette shared a picture of a recent building project they completed. What made this project stand out was that the creator decided to recreate the Sturdy Sewing Box, a piece of furniture seen in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Based on the picture, the box featured a predominantly white paint color with a red handle on top. In addition, they painted a red flower just above a drawer situated at the bottom of the build. On top of the beautiful appearance of the box, the Reddit user made a clay Gyroid to compliment the design.

Besides showcasing the Sturdy Sewing Box from Animal Crossing: New Horizons in an image, doucepaillette provided several details about building the impressive creation. According to the Reddit user, they were inspired to make the Sturdy Sewing Box after seeing a video on TikTok of someone making a light wood version of the design. After seeing this, it spurred them to make their own red and white version. In addition to talking about the box, they noted that the accompanying Gyroid was sculpted out of Sculpey Premo clay and was given its brown color by using acrylic
