Now, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has revealed its own take on the festivities with plenty of Lunar New Year content coming to the popular simulation game.
Holidays are one of the most exciting times of the year for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as the franchise is known for its in-game holiday events. The series regularly celebrates Toy Day each December as the Animal Crossing version of Christmas and features many other holidays throughout the year giving their own spin on festive events like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and plenty more. Now, with the Lunar New Year officially kicked off, Animal Crossing is once again championing the holiday spirit with a plethora of items to help players ring in the new year.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Shares Useful Calendar for Villager Birthdays and Seasonal Events
Animal Crossing: New Horizons announced through the game's official Twitter account on Tuesday that the game's Nook Shopping would feature a selection of «fun items» to help players decorate their homes and islands for the Lunar New Year. The screenshot included in the tweet includes a Chinese-inspired design for the player's house as well as a new door, alongside various pieces of furniture and decoration like a large ornate vase and a decorative fence.
