After making his return to the big screen as the web-slinging hero in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew Garfield has been thrust back into the superhero spotlight. As fans have rallied behind him with hopes of seeing him return, Garfield has a few conditions on what would get him back on set.
Prior to his Spider-Man: No Way Home return, Garfield had not portrayed Spider-Man since 2014 following the premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Unlike his predecessor, Tobey Maguire, and successor, Tom Holland, Garfield never received the third installment in his solo Spider-Man franchise. No Way Home has now given fans of Garfield's Spider-Man another reason to call for The Amazing Spider-Man's revival.

Garfield recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he dished out new information about No Way Home and his involvement in the film. When asked if he would consider returning as Spider-Man, Garfield agreed that he would, but only if the circumstances were right. "In terms of moving forward with the character, yes, I am definitely open to that," Garfield said. "And again, it would have to be something very unique, very special, and of service to an audience, of service to the character." Given the dark journey Garfield's Spider-Man has had over the course of The Amazing Spider-Man'stwo films, there are a lot of ways to explore this character further and Garfield recognizes this. "I think there's something playful and unique and odd and unexpected to be done," Garfield said. "I'm not sure what that is, but if we can figure that out, that would be so much fun."
