Amazon's Prime Video is getting a redesigned user interface. Prime Video has become one of the premier streaming services, offering viewers content to counter similar services like Netflix and Hulu. The streamer has made big headlines over the summer with hit shows like the subversive superhero series The Boys and Chris Pratt's The Terminal List bringing viewers to the service. Prime Video is also home to numerous award-winning projects, like Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy winner The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and the Academy Award-winning film Sound of Metal. However, the way viewers search for and interact with the streaming service is about to change.

Prime Video announced a redesigned interface for the streaming service, which is said to «enhance and evolve the user experience.» The new design will offer more user-friendly navigation, easy access to live events, immersive visuals, and clearly marked content allowing users to know what is free through their subscriptions and what costs extra to access. The redesigned interface will launch on Fire TV, the Android app, and other living room-connected devices in mid-to-late August.
