Good news for "blended" smart home owners: Google Nest this week introduced a new Amazon Alexa skill for its 2021 cameras and doorbell.
The virtual assistant now supports live-view streaming from Nest Cam outdoor/indoor (battery), Nest Cam indoor (battery), Nest Cam with floodlight, and Nest Doorbell (battery) to Echo Show, Fire TV, or Fire tablets.
As an added perk, doorbell users can engage in two-way talk with visitors through Alexa-enabled speakers, TV products, and tablets. Eventually, Amazon's tech will support announcements when any Google Nest device detects someone at your front door.

Add as many Nest devices as you have to the Google Home app and get started asking Alexa to notify you when someone rings the doorbell or announce when a camera detects motion. Voice commands include, "Alexa, show the [camera name] feed," "Alexa, answer the front door," and "Alexa, hide the [camera name] feed."
