The Amazfit Band 7 is a new affordable fitness band, and its biggest contender is currently the Xiaomi Mi Band 7. Xiaomi and Zepp Health are actually more partners than rivals. Zepp Health has been Xiaomi's preferred partner when it comes to developing wearables and that partnership has existed since the early days of the Mi Band.
In 2020, Zepp Health announced a three-year extension of its partnership with Xiaomi. In addition to helping Xiaomi develop its wearable products, the partnership will also see the two companies collaborate on research and development of new technologies for wearables. This collaboration can be seen in some features common to smartwatches and fitness trackers from both brands, one of which is Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI), a points-based metric that scores users based on their heart rate during activities.

The Amazfit Band 7 and Mi Band 7 are easily distinguishable. Amazfit's Band 7 has a rectangular display while the Mi Band 7 has a pill-shaped panel. Both have a polycarbonate case, TPU straps, and a 5ATM water-resistance rating which makes them suitable for swimming. Zepp Health sells the Amazfit Band 7 in Beige and Black and provides replaceable straps in Blue, Green, Orange, and Pink. In contrast, the Mi Band 7 is available in Black but buyers can purchase additional TPU straps available in up to 10 different colors, including camouflage and reflective options.
