Seyfried clearly embraced playing Holmes enough that she wouldn't mind returning to play her again sometime down the line. “It just seemed like this was the best opportunity I’d ever been given, to play such an enigmatic role,” Seyfried said during an interview with Vanity Fair. “And, obviously, it was really scary too." Even though, as of now, there have been no plans for a second season of the show, Seyfried believes because she truly captured Holmes and would love to re-visit playing her again if the show is renewed for another season. «When am I going to get the opportunity to play somebody that I felt like I could really nail?.. It would be another thrill of my life if I got to continue it a little bit.”
The one hangup regarding a potential second season is that Seyfried's portrayal of Holmes won't be the only one not too long from now.
