Alpha footage from Dying Light 2 in 2020 has leaked online.
Dying Light 2 has just launched after over four years of waiting from fans. It's been a pretty rocky road for the game over that time, having been delayed several times and having key staff leave the project, alongside reports that there were issues within the studio thanks to poor management and a lack of direction.

We've now got a better look at what Dying Light 2 looked like during development. A post on GamingLeaksAndRumours showcases small clips from the game in an Alpha build from 2020. It's not clear how the uploader has gained access to the videos or how they know it's from 2020, but they do look legitimate.
The first clip looks to be testing out the Active Landing skill. Aiden is shown in what looks like Old Villedor, jumping from a roof and landing poorly, before going into an early version of the skill tree and seemingly equipping Active Landing, as he then lands with no trouble. The HUD is incredibly different from the final game and shows yellow arrows in the player's centre of view, which could be pointing out enemy awareness.
Aiden is shown swimming in an area that resembles the dam from the final game. The clip looks to be testing underwater swimming. The final clip shows the same area from the first clip and had Aiden dropping from the building in a loop. Although none of the clips are too revealing, it does give us a good look at Dying Light 2 during development,
What's interesting about this leak is that Dying Light 2 was announced and shown off back in 2018, with a full gameplay demo appearing in 2019 and a release expected in 2020. According to the leaker, this footage is from an Alpha
